1. All exhibitors will be under the control of the FCCLA chairpersons (one from George West and one from Three Rivers), but the organization will not be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur to entries. 2. All projects entered in the FCCLA Division must be the work of the exhibitor and must not have been entered previously in a Live Oak County Fair. 3. Any project that has ever been entered or been a part of a previous entry in the Live Oak County Fair cannot be entered or be a part of an entry at the Live Oak County Fair. 4. TIME OF ENTRY: a. All FCCLA, Family and Consumer Sciences and Junior High Family and Consumer Sciences CLOTHING articles must be at the Live Oak County Coliseum by 6:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2008. Judging starts at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. b. All ARTS AND CRAFTS entries must be in the Live Oak County Coliseum by 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Judging starts at 6:00 p.m. c. All FOODS entries must be at the Live Oak County Coliseum Youth Building (new west wing) by 9:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2008. Judging starts at 9:30 a.m. 5. JUDGING: All sessions of judging will be closed to all except chairpersons, sponsors, and judges. 6. ELIGIBILITY: Students eligible for entry in the FCCLA Show must be enrolled in a Family and Consumer Sciences class or be in FCCLA. 7. Students eligible for entry in the FCCLA Show must be eligible under No Pass – No Play, meaning that a student who is ineligible because of failing grades will not be eligible to show or exhibit their projects during the fair in which they are ineligible at check-in time and at the time of their project shows. No one else may exhibit a project for an ineligible student. 8. There will be a designated section for each class and division. 9. APPLICATION FOR ENTRY: All entries must be checked through the committee chairperson and must carry the official entry label. 10. INDIVIDUAL ENTRIES:
11. All articles must be labeled with the official label. 12. All garments must be entered in the judging and exhibited at the fair. If entries are not on display at the fair, premium money will not be paid to the exhibitor. 13. RIBBON AWARDS: The top three entries in each class will receive a rosette, and the top entry will receive $5.00 additional premium money. Top entries will be chosen by division judges from blue ribbon winners. Each article exhibited will be awarded a ribbon according to its score: a. 100 - 90 ----------- Blue Ribbon b. 89 - 80 ----------- Red Ribbon c. 79 - 70 ----------- White Ribbon d. 69 & under ------ Pink Ribbon 14. AWARDS: Three over-all high point county winners will be awarded a trophy. High-Point Individual will be determined by a total of five highest of six scores. Prize money will be given in the following order, according to over-all high points: a. 1st place ---- $25.00 b. 2nd place --- $20.00 c. 3rd place ----$15.00 In case of a tie, additional trophies and money will be awarded. 15. AUCTION: Blue rosette-winning foods entries will be eligible to be auctioned off Friday, March 28, 2008, beginning at 12:00 noon, if exhibitor so chooses.

THANK YOU Students with entries in the Rosette-Winning Foods Auction must submit to their Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher a stamped thank you note addressed to the buyer of their entry before they can receive their premium sale money. 16. No articles on exhibit may be removed from the fairgrounds before 3:00 p.m. Saturday March 29, 2008, and must be claimed by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2008. All articles must be checked out by the committee chairperson.

1. There can be only two entries per individual, and only one entry per individual per class. will make the decision as to how many points will be deducted. Deductions can be from 1 to 10 points. 3. Each entry must be enclosed in a clear plastic bakery box. 4. All entries which do not meet entry specifications will automatically lose ten points, except as specified for rule # 2 above. 5. No mixes allowed except in Class 3 - Specialty Cookies or Bars, Class 4 - Quick Breads and Specialty Quick Breads, Class 5 - Sweet Quick Breads and Specialty Quick Breads, and Class 12 - Specialty Cakes. For Class 3 - Specialty Cookies or Bars, Class 4 - Quick Breads and Specialty Quick Breads, Class 5 - Sweet Quick Breads and Specialty Sweet Quick Breads, and Class 12 - Specialty Cakes, entries which consist of just a mix do not meet entry specifications, and will be disqualified. 6. All frostings must be made from scratch, or entry will be disqualified. 7. All pie crusts and pie fillings must be made from scratch. Use of canned fruit in recipe is acceptable, but if fruit filling or commercially prepared (bought) pie crust is used, entry will be disqualified. 8. No chiffon or sponge cakes allowed. Chiffon cakes and sponge cakes will be disqualified in all classes. 9. No unbaked cookies allowed. All unbaked cookies will be disqualified. 10. Any cake left in pan will automatically be disqualified. 11. CLASSES OF ENTRIES AND ENTRY SPECIFICATIONS: Class 1 -- COOKIES. Each entry must consist of entire batch, or not less than 2 dozen cookies in a clear plastic bakery box. NO UNBAKED COOKIES. Class 2 -- BAR COOKIES. Each entry must consist of entire batch, or not less than 2 dozen cookies in a clear plastic bakery box. NO UNBAKED COOKIES. Class 3 -- SPECIALTY COOKIES OR BARS. Premix base with ingredients added to change color, texture, or flavor. Entry must consist of entire batch, or not less than 2 dozen cookies in a clear plastic bakery box. NO UNBAKED COOKIES. Class 4 -- QUICK BREADS & SPECIALTY QUICK BREADS. Each entry must consist of a loaf or entire batch of items in a clear plastic bakery box. No mini-loaves unless entire batch is entered. Specialty Quick Breads must have a premix base with ingredients added to change color, texture, or flavor. Class 5 -- SWEET QUICK BREADS & SPECIALTY SWEET QUICK BREADS. Specialty Sweet Quick Breads must have a premix base with ingredients added to change color, texture, or flavor. Class 6 -- FRUIT PIES. Pie may be entered in either a regular pie plate or a disposable pie plate. If an FCCLA student enters a pie in a regular pie plate and desires to sell the pie, the pie plate will not be returned. The entry must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 7 -- NUT PIES. Pie may be entered in either regular pie plate or a disposable pie plate. If an FCCLA student enters a pie in a regular pie plate and desires to sell the pie, the pie plate will not be returned. The entry must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 8 -- LAYER CAKES. Cake MUST have a MINIMUM OF TWO LAYERS. Cake must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 9 -- SHEATH CAKES. Cake MUST be a SHEATH or SINGLE LAYER. Cake must be removed from pan. Cake must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 10 -- BUNDT CAKES. Cake must be baked in a BUNDT or TUBE PAN. Cake must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 11 -- POUND CAKES. RECIPE TITLE MUST SPECIFY THE WORD "POUND." Cakes must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 12 -- SPECIALTY CAKES. Premix base with ingredients added to change color, texture, or flavor. Cakes must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 13 -- YEAST BREADS. Entry must consist of entire batch. Entry must be in a clear plastic bakery box. Class 14 -- SWEET YEAST BREADS. Anyone not desiring to sell their product must pick up their entry between 3:00 and 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Bake sale starts at 3:30 p.m. (b) All products below a white ribbon and disqualified products will not be sold.
